Police AssociAtion of novA scotiA 53 Benefit Hockey 2009-2010 PANS All Stars vs Maritime All Stars PANS hosted their 9th Annual Benefit Hockey Game in Truro on March 17, 2010, at the Colchester Legion Stadium. Over $5,000 was raised to support PANS’ activities in the area. Proceeds from the game allowed PANS to make game-night donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colchester County, the Heart & Stroke Foundation(in memory of Cpl. Jim MacDonald, one of Truro’s Finest, who died of a heart attack in the Fall of 2008, at the young age of 55), and the Cops for Cancer Programin support of the Canadian Cancer Society Nova Scotia Division.
