POLICE ASSOCIATION OF NOVA SCOTIA 7 From the Publisher “Providing quality, professional marketing and fundraising services on behalf of high-profile, non-profit organizations.” www.fenety.com Each year, the Police Association of Nova Scotia publishes these Crime Prevention Guides for the community as a result of financial contributions from residents of the Province and business representatives. With their generous support for our annual campaign, PANS is able to give back to their communities through donations to various local charities and youth-oriented programs, in an effort to keep citizens from experiencing the negative effects of many of the topics discussed in these annual publications. This 41st Annual PANS Crime Prevention Guide focuses on the topic of Elder Abuse. Our goal is to educate the public and promote their role in the identification and prevention of abuse and neglect of our seniors. On behalf of the Police Association of Nova Scotia, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every contributor to our 2011 Telephone Appeal, which allowed us to publish this year’s Crime Prevention Guide. This unique publication is distributed free-of-charge each year to schools, libraries and public facilities, and it is also available online at the Police Association of Nova Scotia’s website: www.pansguide.com, making it easily accessible to everyone. Your comments or suggestions regarding these publications are always welcome and we look forward to speaking with you again this year during our Annual Telephone Appeal. Respectfully, Mark T. Fenety President Fenety Marketing Services
